Without doubt Gerry Anderson and his team were the pioneers of puppetry and model making , the detail that went into the productions was extra ordinary, he always strived to improve on what he had done on previous shows hence why after filming finished most of the items were destroyed or thrown away.

Some puppets survived many being sold from the collection of Sylvia Anderson, John Reid and Mary Turner in the famous 1995 philips auction. Vehicles and sets are even rarer with only a handful know to exist, believe it or not ALL of the original Thinderbirds such as 1, 2 etc... have all gone nothing remains of them!!
